Bell Canada Charging For Paper Bills

By: (Google+)
I just received an email from Bell. Luckily it was titled "Important notification regarding your Bell bill" or I might not have opened it. It's a good thing I did because inside the message informed me that as of June, Bell Canada will be charging $2 for paper billing statements! Two dollars? Twenty four dollars a year more added to my Bell bill! The last time I checked, it costs 61 cents to send a letter. That's pretty far from $2. I am pretty sure that the Bell statements are automated so why so much for a statement? Obviously, they are aren't going to make a killing off of less than a buck in profit per Canadian household that uses its service but this is just another penny-pinching, profit-driven, the-oposite-of-good-service that Bell Canada is coming to be known for.

A word to the wise, if you are a Bell customer, go online, set up your account and turn-off the paper bill. Let's not give them that $2!
